Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information used to provide Video Transcription at transcriptionvideo.com. Effective October 23, 2026.
Information you provide
An account uses your email address and authentication information. Google sign-in may provide your name and profile image. If uploads are enabled, we process the recording you choose, its filename and technical metadata, the resulting transcript, your edits, speaker names, optional recognition terms and exports. Do not upload a recording unless you have the rights and any permissions needed to process it.
Why information is processed
We use this information to authenticate you, store private projects, perform requested transcription, save revisions, supply downloads, maintain minute and payment records, prevent misuse and respond to support requests. We do not offer public project sharing. The prepared public sample is separate from account projects.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the application, database and file storage, and delivers email sign-in codes. Better Auth handles account sessions within the application. Google processes authentication when you choose Google sign-in. When enabled, AssemblyAI processes audio for transcription and Waffo handles checkout and payment processing. New transcription and checkout are currently paused. Payment card details are entered with the payment provider, not stored in the transcript editor.
Storage and deletion
Playback audio is retained for 30 days. Transcripts, saved revisions and exports are retained for 180 days. Source files have a shorter cleanup schedule described in our Data retention policy. Deleting a project revokes access first, then requests removal from storage and relevant processing providers. Payment, minute ledger and necessary security records can be retained separately from media for accounting, dispute handling and abuse prevention.
Your choices and contact
You can download your saved work and delete a project through its settings. Delete your account from Your account after signing in again when requested. Confirmation revokes account access immediately, then queues file and processing-provider cleanup. Cancel subscription renewal and resolve pending payments first. Necessary payment and audit records are retained separately. Contact support for account access, correction or help with deletion. Do not send recordings, passwords, verification codes or card details by email.
Analytics and essential storage
Session cookies are used for sign-in. Local browser storage may preserve a draft, sample edits and interrupted-upload metadata. Plausible measures aggregate visits and product events by default without tracking cookies or persistent browser visitor identifiers. Google Analytics is optional and starts only when you enable it. Recordings, transcript text, filenames, email addresses and card details are excluded from analytics properties. See the Cookie Policy for controls.
