Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Video Transcription. Effective October 23, 2026.
Using the service
Use the service only for recordings you are authorized to process. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from participants and for the accuracy and lawful use of the final document. Keep account access and verification codes private. Do not bypass account, file, rate or payment limits, interfere with the service or use it for unlawful content.
Service availability and scope
The current product focuses on English recorded interviews and podcasts. The public sample is a scripted demonstration using synthetic speech and prepared timing. It does not demonstrate recognition quality. New uploads, automated recognition and payments are paused while those capabilities are unavailable. Published limits are ceilings, not a guarantee that every recording or codec can be processed.
Your content and review responsibility
You retain your rights to your recordings and writing. You authorize the processing needed to perform the actions you request, including storage, transcription, revision and download. Automatic transcripts can contain omissions, incorrect words and speaker assignments. Review important quotations, identities, figures and subtitle timing against the audio before use. The service does not certify a transcript or provide a professional record.
Paid use and minutes
If checkout is enabled, the selected offer, billing interval, allowance and final payable total are shown before payment. One credit covers one source minute, rounded up per file. Subscription minutes expire by their grant window; one-time packs expire after 365 days. A task reserves its minutes and settles on usable success; confirmed failure releases them. Editing and exports do not add a transcription charge. Annual subscriptions release allowances monthly.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds
Subscriptions renew according to the selected billing interval unless cancelled. Cancellation stops renewal while preserving the period already paid for. Contact support if you cannot manage a renewal through billing. Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy, including duplicate, incorrect and unusable charges. Do not make another payment while an existing order is being verified.
Retention and availability
Download important work before the retention period ends. Project deletion revokes access and begins cleanup; it is not an undo operation. We may restrict access to prevent abuse, investigate a security issue or comply with applicable obligations. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or perfect recognition. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
